Córdoba offers a different scale: the Mosque-Cathedral, the river and the old-city lanes can support shorter outings with a return to the room between them.

Allow five to seven nights for the pair, starting with three or four in Granada and two or three in Córdoba. With four nights total, narrow the visit or add time rather than treating both cities as one continuous monument day. A train connection links the bases, but the transfer still needs checkout, luggage handling and arrival time. The measure of a good split is how much of each place remains after its best-known building.
