Travelers with a D-Day or family-history purpose
Anchor remembrance days in the Bayeux chapter
Choose one landing sector and the related cemetery or interpretation that will make the history legible. Give Bayeux enough time for the separate Battle of Normandy museum and a quiet evening. Share any family connection with the guide in advance, while treating identification, records and special arrangements as work to confirm.
A moving remembrance visit is difficult to compress between unrelated sights. The tapestry museum is closed until autumn 2027, so a current Bayeux stay needs a different purpose.
